Thinking of............. Warm sunny days ahead.....

Been such a lovely weekend here in Ellon this weekend. It`s been great to get the washing out and dry. I love the smell of washing that has been out in the fresh air. Which brings me to my card for two challenges I am going to enter it into.
The small picture above is the picture Fiona posted as our inspiration for this week challenge over at http://http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_162637607101606&ap=1
I had no hesitation in reaching for this stamp by Kathy Hare called, "Searching", another adorable stamp from Sugar Nellie. To me it opitimises the start of beautiful days to come now that hopefully winter is behind us and the longer daylight hours. It won`t be long until the clocks go forward an hour either.
Recipe for this card.
Searching by Kathy Hare coloured wth promarkers and I used chalk to do the sky using ripped pieces of card to mask the clouds.
Card was all Crafter`s Companion pearlescent range.
Ribbon and gems from own stash.
Embossed lines were done using my trusty Hoogy Board.
I`m also entering this into http://http://stampinfortheweekend.blogspot.com/ The theme this week is Spring.
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
Hugs Linda xxxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!

Good morning all you felloow bloggers out there. Well it`s a lovely morning here in Ellon and once I`ve this downloaded Ron & I are away out to enjoy the day.
Today is my son`s Fiancees Birthday So Happy Birthday Lisa and hope you have many of them xxx
This is a totally diffenernt type of card for me as it is all papercraft with some stamping techniques.
I must be a bit psychic, as this morning I went to check what the http://http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ challenge was for this week and lo and behold my card works perfectly!! Couldn`t get more pastel than pink and mint. I am also ging to enter this into http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.com/
For my card this week I used Card stock White & Mintgreen from local craft shop. Pink card from SU. Spellbinders Nestaabilities and cuttlebug embossed folder Stylized flowers. The lace border was a Martha Sewart punch. Border image and stamped florishes were from the Michelle Marsden Stamp cllection Florish stamped using SU Pretty in Pink.
Leafs were punched from punch from L-Em.com. Flowers were from Xcut punches and centred with Dovecraft Adhesive gems Spring Green.
Sentiment from Inkadinkado stamp. Bit of sparkle ultrafine Prisma Glitter.
Right, better go and deliver Lisa`s Birthday card before everyone has seen it before her LOL!!
Hope you enjoy your look around my blog & feel free to leave any comments. To Chrissie & Mandi thankyou for all your helpful comments you leave. It`s good to know we have you to help out if we have gone astray with our interpretation of the challenges sometimes!! Keep up the good work xx

Chocolate Mint Icecream. Mmmmm..........

Mmmmmm.......... Sounds lovely doesn`t it. Wish I had one right now!! Unfortunately Choc mint is not for eating in this instance. This is the challenge dear Fiona set us over at http://http//www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_162637607101606&ap=1. She came up with the idea as Conner her youngest son just loves choc mint icecream.
I`m also entering this challenge into http://http://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/ the theme is "Inspired by a Song" Don`t think it`s hard to guess which song I`ve picked. A reall golden oldie sung by Bing Crosby & "Sachmo" Louis Armstrong GONE FISHIN`.
For my card base white topper brown and mint was bought at my local craft shop. Design backing paper came again from Crafter`s Companion Mens Collection cd. Stamped image is a Sugar Nellie oldie Gone Fishing coloured in with my trusty promarkers trying to get as close to mint and chocolate as I could. Stamped image of post and sentiment came from the fishing set Flippin` Men by La Pache. My wee bit of bling came froma docrafts set. I added a bit of diamond glaze to the post and to make the water shine a bit.
Thanks to everyone who have been leaving such wonderful comments on my previous blog entries I love to read everyone. If your stopping by please feel free to leave a wee message. xxxx
PS Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

Face Book Santa Sundays. PINK & CHOCOLATE

Sunday evening already and the end of another weekend. Back to work tomorrow and hopefully no recurrence of the nausea and stomach cramps that sent me home last week! I`m going armed with the tablets I got from the doctor so hopefully they`ll keep me feeling OK.
Right onto another challenge. Todays card is very very CAS for me, way out of my comfort zone but I must say I think a few of these will be made now for this years Chritmas cards as it was very easy and quick to do.
As you can see the theme was Pink & Chocolate. To be fair at first my wee brain went into overdrive and was coming up with the most complicated things out. After a rummage through my christmas stamps though I eventually settled on this little duo of Baubles fromPapermania I bought last year and never used. I then looked through my stamping inks and could only come across my Archival Brilliance Pearlescent Coral and having no definate chocolate coloured ink pads headed for my trusty promarkers and chose funnily enough Cocoa. Thesse I stamped up and woo and behold more squares!! I seem to have squares before my eyes this weekend!! I wonder if it`s a side effect of being ill this week LOL!!
Anyway, this time there is an extra square which I think works really well. The stamped sentiment was from a set I also bought last year and didn`t use again Papermania called "Silent Night". To stamp it I used an Encore ink pad ultimate metalic "Copper" To finish off the whole effect I added HobbyArt Dazzles ultra fine prisma glitter to bring the whole thing to life.
Now, how more CAS can you get!!
Hope you enjoy what you see and Many thanks to all you wonderful peeps who follow my blog and leave such wonderful comments.
