Face Book Santa Sundays. PINK & CHOCOLATE

Sunday evening already and the end of another weekend. Back to work tomorrow and hopefully no recurrence of the nausea and stomach cramps that sent me home last week! I`m going armed with the tablets I got from the doctor so hopefully they`ll keep me feeling OK.
Right onto another challenge. Todays card is very very CAS for me, way out of my comfort zone but I must say I think a few of these will be made now for this years Chritmas cards as it was very easy and quick to do.
As you can see the theme was Pink & Chocolate. To be fair at first my wee brain went into overdrive and was coming up with the most complicated things out. After a rummage through my christmas stamps though I eventually settled on this little duo of Baubles fromPapermania I bought last year and never used. I then looked through my stamping inks and could only come across my Archival Brilliance Pearlescent Coral and having no definate chocolate coloured ink pads headed for my trusty promarkers and chose funnily enough Cocoa. Thesse I stamped up and woo and behold more squares!! I seem to have squares before my eyes this weekend!! I wonder if it`s a side effect of being ill this week LOL!!
Anyway, this time there is an extra square which I think works really well. The stamped sentiment was from a set I also bought last year and didn`t use again Papermania called "Silent Night". To stamp it I used an Encore ink pad ultimate metalic "Copper" To finish off the whole effect I added HobbyArt Dazzles ultra fine prisma glitter to bring the whole thing to life.
Now, how more CAS can you get!!
Hope you enjoy what you see and Many thanks to all you wonderful peeps who follow my blog and leave such wonderful comments.
This I am entering into http://http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_184073494953597&ap=1

Playing a bit of catch up.

After a bad start to my week with not feeling too well I have managed to complete another card for a few challenges. The first one really is catch up cos the deadline is for tomorrow over on http://http//www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_162637607101606&ap=1 Fiona set us the challenge of anything along as it`s a Sugar Nellie image and there had to be paper piecing somwhere in the design.
I`m also entering this into the http://http//sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/ fortnightly challenge and the http://http//totallypapercrafts.blogspot.com/ challenge.
The sugar bowl theme is a sketch and Totally papercrafts also has the paperpiecing as it`s theme this week. I hope you enjoy having a look at what I`ve done and remember any comments critical or otherwise are grealty appreciated. Thanks to everyone who have left lovely comments on my blog to date. xxxx
My recipe for this card.

Golf stamp on squares is a stamp from Papercrafts4you.
Sentiment was one I stamped out at last weeks card class I go to.

Three Squares. A request for a Retirement Card

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far. My dear husband has been on night duty this weekend and what better an excuse to do some crafting than when I have to keep quiet when he`s asleep!! Oh Bliss!!

This week over at http://http//simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ our task this week was to come up with a card containing three squares.

This tied in nicely with a request from my husband Ron to do a retirement card for a collegue at work. This solved the problem of how to set out the card. Now for the image. What to do. After a good rummage through all my stamps I eventually settled on a set from Michelle Marsden " The Vintage Collection". As the person retiring does a lot of travelling I thought these set of cases fitted the bill nicely. This I stamped using memento ink and then coloured in using my Prismacolor pencils. I then mounted my stamped squares onto Beige pearlescent card from Crafter`s Companion. My base card is also CC card centura pearl snow white. Pink card from my card stash was border punched using Martha Stewart Punch the name of which I can`t remeber at present. I finished off the card with a retirement sentiment from Crafter`s Companion/Jayne Nesterenko`s Cute Companion Summer set. Now all I have to do is find a suitable insert and that`s it ready for Ron to take in with him to work on Monday.
Thankyou to all who left comments on my last week entry and I do appreciate the extra ideas form you as well. Love reading all your comments as usual.xxx

Spring is in the Air. Well I`m ever Hopeful............

I am entering this one into the http://http//simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ challenge. This weeks theme is SPRING.

Not entirely sure about this one but had a real struggle with getting an image I liked and I`m not up to competer stuff to get an image straight onto my base card. The image I chose was from Joanna Sheens CD rom, Pamela west collection 2, which has digistamp images to colour in yourself. Because there are more than one image on the sheet i had to adapt to fit my card.Base card was crafter Companions Centura Pearl white, which I then embossed an oval from the romance board from the Glitter girls, I then embossed a second oval from the blue swiss dot embossed card to give some definition. This I stuck in place using pinflair glue.I coloured in my image using my Prisma pencils this time as I thought it warrented a softer look. This I then placed on top of the blue oval.To finish of I stamped a border round the card using a Fun Stamp, Flower boreder using Stamping Up Old Olive inkpad. My sentiment was computer generated, cut to size and inked edges with SU Baja Breeze.Haven`t been feeling a hundred percent this week and thought i wouldn`t get this done at all. but as they say any entry is better than none!! I hope I feel more like myself for next weeks challenge.Again thanks for stopping by and reading my blog and all your comments are read with great appreciation as always. xxxxx

I have teamed this up with an easel card which is the challenge over at http://http//www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_184073494953597&ap=1

Base card Is centura pearl from Crafters Companion.
Back papers are printed from CC Festive Occasions CD rom.
Oval was use using DWV stavk & mat and embossed using a Glitter Girls board. Blue ribbon wash from my own stash.
To highlight the snow flakes and holly I use Stickles " Icicles"
Sentiment came from CC `s & Jayne Nesterenko`s Winter Cute Companions stamp set stamped with mudnight blue Stazon ink. The backgound for the stamp was stamped using SU bashful blue and the snowflake stamp from"Hobby Art"
The little bit of bling is from my own stash.
Love to hear your comments again everyone which I love reading & which are very much appreciated and Thanks for stopping by.
Right you wouldn`t think I`m up first thing tomorrow for work!! so had better say Good Night to you all and head for bed. xxxx

An Easel Card with a Twist!!!

A very good morning from a bright day here in Ellon!!

Well, originally I started this card last night but my mojo just easn`t in the right groove and it wouldn`t come together at all!!! Whast a difference sleeping on an idea can make. Fresh start and it came together in no time.

This week over on http://http//www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_162637607101606&ap=1. Fiona set us the simple task of an easel card and the only other stable must a Sugar Nellie image of our own choice. Poor untamed has been ignored in my stamp set for such a long time unused that I thought it was about time I go her stamped up and coloured. Again I must attribute this to Debbie of http://http://wiccababe.blogspot.com/ . The amount of hair to get coloured right on this sort of stamp always put me off but since seeing how Debbie tackles this and with hints of what colours to use together I am much more confident.
Recipe for this card;
Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion; DWV Neutral Mat Stack (blue); Patterned paper I bought from Create & Craft a good while ago and again had forgotten about!! Flowers from Hobby Craft.
Image Sugar Nellies Untamed and sentiment Unforgettable Moments has no name on it.
Image was cloured in with promarkers and detail in hair I used my prisma pencils.
I do hope you will pop by and leave a comment. I love reading what you think of my work and then popping over and seeing all the lovely crafty folks work out there too.
Hope you all are having a good day and HAPPY CRAFTING.
Tonight I am out at my beading class Yeh!!!!

Well here I am again not quite into the groove yet. Have a few cards and bits of jewellery made but haven`t quite made it to the camera. I have quite a few on my mobile phone and until tonight had forgotten where I`d put the box with the download lead for the computer!! Now after a botched job of tryng to download stuff about the phone My husband discovered we didn`t need it all!! Oh the joy`s LOL!!!! For this challenge I have used the lovely adorable stamp Verity from the house of Sugar. These set of stamps are so delectable.
This is the first time I have coloured in an image from The SN range with my new prisma pencils and I am really pleased with my first effort.
My cards were all from my stock had them so long can`t remember where they all came from!!
To frame Verity I used the majestic embossing board from the Glitter Girls.
Ribbon was from my stash and sentiments from my stock of clear stamp sets.
Other things used from my stash were DST foam pads My trusty pinflair
Pearly doodles, bling and leaf was punched from my leaf punch. Paper flowers were from Hobby Craft and sparkled up using diamond stickles.
